Quality Hand Made Reproductions Designed by Don Briddell
Don is an internationally, heralded wood carver known for his unique design concepts and great attention to detail. He began his career carving duck decoys in 1957 at the age of 13. Some of his work can be seen in the Smithsonian Institution. All work is performed at the Mt. Airy, Maryland studios of Overboard Art.
The Process – Everything is done by hand from wood carving the original, recreating the form in permanent sculpture materials, hand casting the item and concludes by the lengthier and demanding process of painting and finishing the piece.
All products are made of permanent sculpture resins and painted with exterior artist’s acrylic paint, safe for outdoor use.
All pieces come with a “Certificate of Authenticity“, signed and numbered. Most collections are limited editions.

Carruth Studio
Sculptures for Home & Garden from the Studio of George Carruth
George carves Indiana limestone with handmade chisels to create the prototypes for the cement hand-cast pieces that Carruth Studio, Inc. manufacturers in a renovated century-old farmer’s market in Waterville, Ohio.
George has been the subject of a documentary that was made for public television “George Carruth: An American Sculptor”. In 1993 George also accepted an invitation from Hillary Rodham Clinton to create an angle for the nation,s official Christmas tree.
Medieval sculpture and American folk-art influence George’s work. Once “planted” in your garden or placed in your home, his pieces bring feelings of whimsy and joy to their surroundings.
All pieces are original, copyrighted designs of the sculptor. They are hand cast in concrete and individually hand finished with patina wash to accentuate detail. Products are weatherproof/winter-proof and come with stainless steel hooks that will not corrode or rust.
